FRAMINGHAM – Joseph A. Bryant III, 89, a longtime resident of Framingham died Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
Born in Boston the son of Joseph A. Jr. and Marion (Whittaker) Bryant. He was the beloved husband of over 50 years to Marlene (Baker) Bryant.
Raised and educated in Lexington, Joe served his country proudly in the US Navy aboard the USS Alshain during the Korean War.
Soon after, he began his career at the Boston Edison retiring as a Leader Lineman in 1993. He was a member of the UWUA Local #369. In his spare time, Joe loved to golf, and was an avid fan of all Boston sports teams.
Joe loved his family and besides his wife Marlene, he is survived by his children, James of Wrentham, Linda of Medway, Susan Curry and husband Dan of AZ, Julie LaMorte and husband Abe of Walpole, John and wife Bernice of AZ, Lisa Peevers and husband Alan of CA, and Lori Milligan and husband Dan of Webster; his grandchildren, Emily, Sam, Anthony, Jake, Jack, Julia, Owen, and Megan; his great grandchildren, Evelyn and Henry. His siblings, David and wife Kay of TX, and Julie Woodger and husband Kent of NH; also many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Joe was predeceased by his first wife Marilyn (Mundt) in 1967.
Considering the current health restrictions, Joe’s family will honor and remember his life privately with committal services at MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
