FRAMINGHAM – Police are investigating a report of a shooting at 2C Brackett Road in Framingham on Tuesday night, December 29.

Brackett Road is located in District 8, off Route 126, near the Ashland line.

Framingham Police Lt. Patricia Grigas confirmed one man was shot. His injuries are unknown at this time.

The scanner had the victim taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester via ambulance.

“He was conscious and alert,” said Lt. Grigas of the man shot.

“This was not a random act and the community is not at risk,” said Framingham Police Lt. Grigas.

The shooting took place around 9 p.m. inside the house. There were other individuals in the house, but only one man was shot, according to police.

A Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit searched for the shooter but did not locate him, according to police.
