1 Framingham was declared a high-risk coronavirus community by the state yesterday.
The City of Framingham is one of just 9 communities designated as red. The City increased from a yellow community with a rating of 5.5 last Wednesday to a red community with a rating of 8.7 yesterday.
The red designation means that Framingham must start the school year remotely.
Framingham Public Schools had already decided to do that. Keefe Technical has called a meeting for Monday night.
It also means, according to the Framingham Public Superintendent of Schools Bob Tremblay and the Framingham Athletic Director, that the fall sports season can not take place, due to DESE & MIAA guidelines.
Fall sports at Framingham High now moves to the floating season ith football and cheer. The floating, fourth season, is between winter and spring traditional seasons and starts in February.

2. The City is still seeking a drive-thru free testing location for the virus, but there is a walk-up (no parking) site at Amazing Things today from 3 to 6 p.m.

- Framingham Housing Authority at 1 p.m.

2. There is early voting is available today for the September 1 primary at the Memorial Building. Masks are required. Voting hours are 8:30 to 4 p.m.
