FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham History Center held a Suffrage 100 celebration this evening, August 26 at Mayo-Collins Square at Oak Street in Framingham. The gathering was limited to 50 individuals wearing masks.

The event was held on the 100th anniversary of the 19th anniversary of the adoption of the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Senate President Karen Spilka, State Rep. Maria Robinson, Mayor Yvonne Spicer, and Framingham History center Director Annie Murphy all spoke.

The panel was named after the two suffragettes from Framingham.
