FRAMINGHAM – Charlotte (Barclay) Breen, 87 of Framingham passed away Sunay, April 2, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Guimond) Barclay and wife of the late John “Jack” Breen, who died in 2018. 

A dedicated mother and homemaker, Charlotte will be remembered for her loving, patient, and kind nature, as well as her wonderful sense of humor. Charlotte was an accomplished bridge player, an avid reader, enjoyed theatre, movies, the arts in general, bowling, and golf as a longtime member of  Framingham Country Club.

Mrs. Breen is survived by three children; John “Jack” Breen and his wife Maribeth of Clinton, CT, Deborah Breen of Framingham, MA, and Martin Breen and his wife Susan of Hudson, NH, and eight grandchildren, Kylah, Corey, Jason, Christopher, Kevin, Eric, Sean, and Ryan.  Charlotte was the sister of the late Estelle (Barclay) Maguire.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 11 at 10 a.m. in St. George Catholic Church, 77 School St. Framingham, with burial to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Natick. 

Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mass Audubon Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary, 208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773 – In Memory of Charlotte Breen or www.massaudubon.org   – please specify Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary, In Memory of Charlotte Breen.
