Roberta M. (Briggs) Connors, 63, a resident of Uxbridge and formerly Framingham, died suddenly, January 1, 2026. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Robert J. Briggs and the late Judith Ann (Cantara) Briggs.
Roberta grew up on the southside of Framingham the 4th of 6 daughters. Her incredible work ethic began at a young age. Along with babysitting, she started working at the neighborhood convenience store at the age of 12 where everyone knew and loved her.
She was a 1981 graduate of Keefe Tech High School, where she was the Captain of the basketball team. Growing up she enjoyed summertime days at Hopkinton State Park and Nantasket beach with all the neighborhood families.
Roberta was extremely close with her sisters and parents growing up and that didn’t change when her own children came along. She would do anything for family and never went a day without speaking to all of them. In recent years she cherished updates about her grandson.
When she wasn’t working full time at Stop n’ Shop, she enjoyed spending time with her longtime partner, Brian, their dog Toby, her children, grandson, father, and sisters. Family was everything. She enjoyed a good book, and loved word puzzle games. What truly Made Roberta was her ability to put those around her at ease. Accepting and welcoming, she took everyone in as her own. She was motherly to all her children’s friends, and passionate about making everyone she knew feel loved. Roberta was a shoulder to cry on, a warm embrace, and always there for everyone.
Roberta is survived by her longtime partner, Brian Willis, her children, Courtney Doyle, Robert, Andrew, and Kristen, he beloved grandson, Cillian Doyle, her father, Robert Briggs, her sisters, Theresa Daily & her husband Leigh, Cheryl Edmunds & her partner Paul Dickie, Elzabeth Martin & her partner Mark Allen, Marlene Fabri & husband Dana, and Kathleen Frasher & her husband Jeff, as well as many nieces and nephews.
