Debra Jean Zonghetti, a longtime resident of Framingham, passed away on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 after fighting multiple health issues. She was 69 years old. Born in Hartford, CT on January 29th,1956, Debbie was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur Louis & Thomasine Marie (Bear) Zonghetti.

Debra was raised in Framingham, and earned her BS in Nursing from Fitchburg State College. She was a nurse for 42 years. She started her career at Framingham Union Hospital, then worked at Kuakini Hospital in Hawaii where she lived for 20 years, and ended her career at Metrowest Medical Center back in Framingham.

The best thing Debbie ever did, and what she was certainly most proud of was adopting her two daughters from China, Kylie and Kacie. She loved to travel, shop, have lunch with friends, and knit. She loved photography and animals, she would save any animal that needed it. All that knew her would describe her as kind, sweet, and silly.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Kylie Murphy & her husband Nick, her daughter Kacie, her sister Leslie, her brother Arthur & his longtime companion Paula Rush, and many lifelong friends.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Debra’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham on Thursday, April 17th from 4-7pm. Interment will be private.
