Stephen Balacco, age 77, of Framingham, MA passed away on March 30, 2025 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, on March 21, 1948 he was the son of the late Vito and Diana Balacco, and proudly served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War Era and enjoyed a long career at Honeywell.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Kaye (Miller) Balacco. Survived by his daughter Courtney Jo Balacco of Boston, step-son Joseph Howe of Agawam, MA, sisters Ann Caldwell of Smyrna, DE and Maddelan Balacco of Sun City Center, FL.

Steve was a quiet & private man.  At times gruff on the outside but full of love, he’d quietly do anything for those who needed it. When he was younger, his sister Maddelan received a barbie doll for Christmas, Ann did not. Knowing that Ann was upset, Steve went and bought her a barbie doll on his own without telling anyone.

Steve did not want services on his passing, he would not have liked the attention.  His ashes will be spread over the ocean in Maine in a private ceremony. He loved the ocean and Maine, his wish was to be laid to rest in the place that brought him much joy and peace.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at www.t2t.org

A place is vacant in our home.  A voice we love is still.  An emptiness within our hearts, the world can never fill.  Our only comfort is to know you are in God’s loving care.  Blessed be his memory.
