It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Donald Paul Williams, age 95, of Framingham, MA. He passed away peacefully, March 1, 2025, under the kind care of those at Casa de Ramana Nursing Home, and those from the Salmon Hospice group in Framingham, MA.

Donald was born March 2, 1929 to Warren P. & Pauline A. (Hover) Williams in Candor, NY. He married Juanita J. (Priesch) on July 31, 1952 and they had one child, Mark.

Donald worked for GTE International as a Government System Program Manager and Director and retired from there in September 1994. He had an avid love of reading about American history and visiting civil war sites, traveling and being with friends and family, celebrating Christmas, collecting toy soldiers and coins, gardening, raising chickens and playing a competitive game of chess and cards. He enjoyed his time helping out at the First United Methodist Church in Framingham with the Victory Garden, decorating for Christmas, and organizing funding for church repairs.

Donald is survived by his son, Mark P. Williams & his wife Margaret (Mickler) of Greene, NY, and two grandchildren, Benjamin & his wife Bryana (Demoret) of Atlanta, GA, and Andrew of Auburn, NY.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife Juanita, revered brother Warren “Bub” & his wife Betty, and his cherished sister, Phyllis “Jean” McGlynn & her husband Edward, as well as his niece Kelly.

Donald was a loving and giving husband, father, father in law and grandfather. He enjoyed telling stories about his past and knowledge of history. He will be missed.

Family and friends will honor and remember Donald’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Thursday, March 13th in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham from 5-7PM.  His Funeral Service will follow at 7PM. Donald will be laid to rest March 15th, 2025 at Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY.
