Gregory L. Brown, 69, a longtime resident of Framingham, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024. Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Russell & Patricia (Colby), and the beloved husband to Linda L. (Diddle) for 48 years.
Greg was raised and educated in Charleston, West Virginia, and was a proud graduate of West Virginia University where he was a member of the Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity. He enjoyed a 37-year career as a VP of Operations for Hines in commercial property management, where he spent much of his career managing 500 Boylston and 222 Berkley in the Back Bay.
An outdoorsman by nature, Greg enjoyed camping, hiking, kayaking, and biking. Myrtle Beach and Bar Harbor were among his favorite places to vacation in his RV. He was a lover of classic cars particularly the ’57 Chevy, ’56 Corvette and the Ford Galaxie 500 and could often be found enjoying cruising night at Riley’s Roast Beef with his family. He spent hours chasing, laughing and spoiling all of his grandkids. He enjoyed sports, rooting for WVU football, the Bruins, Pats, and the Red Sox. Sometimes true bliss came in the form of a cold Budweiser on the back deck after a hard day of work.
Besides his wife Linda, Greg is survived by his sons, Michael & his wife Erika, and Matthew & his wife Allison, his grandchildren, Penelope, Julian, Cameron, Bodie & Cole, and his siblings, Steve, Russell, Susan & Jeff.
Family and friends will honor and remember Greg’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Saturday morning, August 24th from 10AM-12PM.
