Lucy “Anita” LeBlanc, of Framingham, MA, passed away peacefully at the age of 81, surrounded by her beloved family on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Born on September 30, 1942, in Belle Cote, Canada, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Stella LeBlanc.

Anita is survived by her devoted husband, John LeBlanc, with whom she celebrated 57 wonderful years of marriage on August 3, 2024. She leaves behind three cherished sons: Robert (Carrie) of Boylston, MA; Kevin (Christine) of Milford, MA; and Mark (Kari) of Trophy Club, TX. Anita’s family also includes nine adored grandchildren: Casey (Billy), Courtney (Kyle), Cam, Riley, Ella, Benjamin, Harrison, James, and Noah. She is also survived by her sisters Cecile and Leone and brothers Eugene and Daniel, all of Canada.

Anita moved to Waltham, MA, in 1963, where she met John at the French Club and began their fairy tale life together. Her dedication to the family was unwavering, spending decades raising her three sons and working in the Framingham school system. Anita’s passion for knitting was well-known; she lovingly crafted baby blankets for friends and family and generously donated her creations to the local churches and hospital nurseries.

In 2008, Anita proudly became a U.S. citizen, marking another milestone in her remarkable life. Her spirit and kindness touched everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McCarthy Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street, Framingham, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia’s Parish, Esty Street, Ashland, MA. Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, 55 Grove Street, Framingham, MA.
