Jamie Shea, aged 51, passed away on July 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, humor, and community spirit. Known for his infectious laughter and his remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him, Jamie made a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Jamie’s love for theater was a defining part of his life. His enthusiasm for performing, inventive approach to creating sets and specialty props, and genuine appreciation for the performing arts were all clearly reflected in his numerous contributions to local school and community theater productions. Whether performing in his favorite shows, building sets, or attending performances, Jamie’s vibrant spirit and genuine enthusiasm were a source of inspiration to many.
During the challenging times of the pandemic, Jamie built “The Cake Car” and drove it in birthday parades. With his trademark generosity, Jamie donated all the profits from this venture to the local marching band, a testament to his unwavering support for the arts and his commitment to enriching the lives of young musicians.
Jamie was married to Teri Shea on July 4, 1998, and together they shared a loving and supportive partnership. He was a proud father to Symphony, Dunnivan, and Sonnet Shea, who were the center of his world. His family will forever remember his boundless love and his ability to find humor in every situation.
A memorial service to celebrate Jamie’s life will be held on August 10, 2024, at 2pm, at Dennison Memorial Hall (214 Concord Street, Framingham, MA 01702) where Jamie performed as Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors many years ago. In honor of Jamie’s enduring spirit and the joy he brought into our lives, attendees are invited to bring a cherished memory of a time when Jamie made them laugh. His sense of humor and warmth were gifts he generously shared, and this service will be an opportunity for all to reflect on and celebrate these joyful moments. Jamie’s kindness, humor, and spirit of perseverance will be deeply missed.
