Dorothy “Dot” Janda, age 99, formerly of Framingham, died, Monday, May 27, 2024 at her residence, the Branches of Marlborough.
Born in Clinton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Bertha (Ennis) Janda
Dorothy dedicated her life to education, holding a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Fitchburg State. She was a passionate Social Studies teacher at Framingham South High School for over 33 years, leaving a lasting impact on her students and colleagues.
Dorothy will be remembered for her dedication to education, her faith, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Dot is survived by her close family members, Heidi Gilman, Caitlin Gilman, Abaigeal Gilman, Jacob Brescia, and her cousin Francis Ryan who visited her weekly. She leaves behind close friends Dottie and Bob Horrigan.
She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Janda and godchild, Joan Scheid.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a time of visitation at St. John the Guardian of our Lady Parish, 80 Union St, Clinton, MA 01510 on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 9:15AM to 9:45AM, followed by her funeral Mass at 10AM. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Clinton.
