FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public Library Search Committee has announced two exceptional finalists for the Director of Libraries.

The finalists will visit the Framingham libraries from May 20 to 22.

The finalists are Dawn Dellasanta and Manual Leite.

Dellasanta has worked for the Framingham Public Library for over a decade, in a variety of roles, including Head of Library Technology, Head of Branch Experience and currently is the Interim Director of Libraries.

Dellasanta has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in English from Framingham State University and a Masters in Library and Information Science with a concentration in Technology from Simmons University. Dellasanta is a former member of the United States Marine Corps.

Leite is currently the Director of the Blount County Public Library in Maryville, TN. During his 20 years of public library administration, Leite has been the Director of the Boyden Library in Foxborough, Director of the East Bridgewater Public Library and Assistant Director of the Tiverton Public Library in Rhode Island.

Leite has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth and a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Rhode Island.

Leite will meet with the Framingham Public Library Trustees on Monday, May 20 at 7 p.m. The public may attend the meeting.

On Tuesday, May 21, he will tour both the Main Branch and the Christa McAuliffe Branch Library where he will meet with staff and representatives of the Friends of the Framingham Library, Framingham Public Library Foundation and other community partner organizations.

At 3:30 p.m., Leite will make a public presentation in the Costin Room at the Main Public Library, located at 49 Lexington Street.

Dellasanta will meet with the elected Library Trustees on Tuesday evening at 7. The public may attend the meeting. She will visit both libraries on Wednesday, May 22 to meet with staff and organization representatives.

Dellasanta’ s public presentation will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Costin Room at the main Framingham Library on May 22.
