Kristine Lilja-King, PhD

Kristine Lilja-King, PhD. age 73, a resident of Bangor, ME, and formerly of Framingham, MA passed away on March 20, 2024, in Bangor.

Born in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Roy H. and Marilyn Gladu.

Kristine was a proud Navy veteran who served her country in the U. S. Navy from 1980 to 1986. She was honored to have been a part of the military community.

Prior to her retirement, Kristine pursued a career as a registered Archeologist for many years. Her dedication and passion for her work were truly admirable.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Kristine cherished spending time with her son, John Eddy King, III, and her beloved grandchildren, Connor H, Charlotte King, and Caitlin King.

Kristine is survived by her siblings, Dana E. Lilja, Geoffrey R. Lilja, and Brian Grant, along with their families. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Lilja.

The family will gather at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne, MA, to celebrate Kristine’s life. Military honors will be provided by members of the United States Navy to commemorate her service.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Norton Funeral Home, Framingham.

Kristine Lilja-King will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
