Sister Mary T. Cahill, CSJ, (Sister St. Timothy), in her 77th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Saturday, April 6, 2024. Devoted daughter of the late Timothy J. and Mary J. (Hegarty) Cahill, and beloved sister of the late William J. and Maurice R. (Bob) Cahill. Sister Mary is survived by her loving sister, Ann Marie Cahill, and brother, John Timothy Cahill and his wife, Virginia, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandniece, great grandnephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation. Formerly missioned as a teacher at St. Anthony School, Allston and Holy Family School, Rockland. Sister Mary also served as parish minister at San Ricardo Parish, Peru; St. Mary Parish, Roxbury for over 16 years; and as pastoral minister at Pine Street Inn-Women’s Unit, Boston.

Visiting hours at Holy Family Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 631 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA, Friday, April 12, 2024, 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. Prayer Service at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at the Motherhouse at 10:15 a.m. Burial: 12:00 p.m. – ALL will meet at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 70 Medford Street, Arlington, MA. Arrangements by Norton Funeral Home, Framingham.
