Florence (Adler) Freedman, 96, a longtime resident of Framingham died Monday October 9, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Concord NH, she was the beloved daughter of Max & Sarah Adler, and the beloved wife of the late David Freedman.
Florence was raised and educated in Concord, NH. After high school she worked for a brief time in a factory before thanks to her looks got offered a job in their retail stores. She and David settled in Framingham in 1959, and in 1961 they adopted their daughter Marci, completing their family. Once Marci was older, Florence went back to work as an Office Manager at SunLife where she enjoyed a lengthy career.
Florence loved to cook and was known for her famous stuffing. She enjoyed shopping and clothing in general. More than anything, she loved her family.
Florence is survived by her daughter, Marci S. Jakutis, her grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer Jakutis all of Framingham, her sister Esther Levi of Danvers, and her dear friend, Cathy C.
Besides her husband David, Florence was predeceased by her son in law John Jakutis, and her brothers, Sol, Milton, and Sidney.
He family would like to acknowledge the amazing care she was afforded by her home health aides.
Interment will take place privately at Framingham Natick Jewish Cemetery.
