John F. Herring, III – 57

John F. Herring, III. of Natick unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, June 29th, 2023, at the age of 57.

He was born at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and the beloved son of the late Anne (Langan) Herring and the late John F. Herring, II. John was a proud Natick resident for 54 years and a 1984 Graduate of Natick High School. John was a retired Natick Firefighter of 32 years and loved his time working for Channel 5 Smart Routes Traffic. John was an avid Boston sports fan. Loving and proud father to Brenna and Connor Herring, both of Natick. His children were his entire world. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Herring of Murrells Inlet, SC and sisters Marianne Forrest of Norwood and Patricia Finlay and her husband Ricky of Framingham. Nephew to Betsy Herring of Westbrook Maine, Priscilla and Tom McCoy of Plymouth and Mary Ellen Langan of Newton. Preceded by many loving aunts and uncles. Proud Uncle of Shane, Patrick, Paul, Caroline, Olivia and Bobby. He was a dear friend to so many. John will always be remembered by his infectious laugh, smile and his wit. John always made anyone that interacted with him feel loved.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick, at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 20, 2023, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Natick Elks, 99 Speen St, Natick.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Natick Firefighters Relief Association, 22 East Central St., Natick.
