Ashland celebrated Haiti’s Flag day. The event was organized by Ashland is United (AiU) in collaboration with the Town of Ashland. AiU’s Flag Project celebrates the changing demographics of the town.
The Haitian flag was raised as the anthems were sung by Ashland resident Mirlande Butler. The Town Hall also houses an art exhibit of Haitian artist Joseph Chery. This is open to the public for viewing. There was music and dance and an immersive cultural experience.
