BOSTON – Switzerland’s Marcel Hug won his sixth Boston Marathon today, April 17.

Hug, 37, won the wheelchair division in 1:17.06.

The time was a new course record, beating his 2018 record of 1:18.04.

American Susannah Scaroni took the women’s wheelchair division crown.

The 31-year-old crossed the finish line in 1 hour, 41 minutes 45 seconds.

Hug won Boston in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2021. He withdrew from the Marathon in 2022, due to a medical issue.
