BOSTON – Framingham High students Sasha Lamakina and Ella Terranova competed in the Boston Athletic Association’s scholastic mile event at the Boston marathon finish line on Saturday, April 15.

Each community along the Boston Marathon route can submit two female and two male high school runners for the event.

The girls and boys races are independent of each other.

There is also a middle school division, where runners run a 1K.

Amelia Everett of Newton won the girls scholastic mile in 5:11 minutes.

Newton’s Ciara Evans took second place in 5:16 minutes.

Lamakina crossed the finished line third in 5:25 minutes.

Terranova took 6th place in 5:42 minutes.

Ashland’s Katy English was 8th in 5:54 minutes.

Ashland’s Meredith Reilly was 11th place

Natick’s Madeline David and Zoe Waldron finished 14th and 15th.
