Each community along the Boston Marathon route can submit two female and two male middle school runners for the event.

The girls and boys races are independent of each other.

There is also a high school division, where runners run a mile.

Natick’s Declan Hava finished 7th overall.

Framingham’s Justice Cesar finished 11th.
