FRAMINGHAM – Arthur E. Israelson of Florida (formerly Framingham, Massachusetts) peacefully entered into rest on April 11, 2023.

He was born May 20, 1936, in Roxbury, Massachusetts, the son of the late Lawrence and Nettie (Jacobs) Israelson.

He graduated from Boston Trade School and owned and operated his own TV/VCR/Stereo Repair Shops (Brookline TV Service and Arthur’s TV Service) for over 45 years.

Arthur served as a Military Police officer with the National Guard.

Arthur is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Louis, Sumner and Sylvia (“Sibby” Sussman), and his long-term love of 18 years, Beverly A. Wolff, with whom he moved to Florida. Together he and Beverly loved traveling, going to the casino, and socializing with many friends and family in Delray Beach, FL. He is survived by his three children Sheldon (Kayla) of North Palm Beach, FL, Evan (Kristen) of Wilmington, MA and Julie Hernandez (Sebastian) of Port Saint Lucie, FL; three beautiful granddaughters Cayley, Lily and Ariana who were his world; his former wife Ann Israelson, with whom he remained friends, several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.

Arthur had a love of baseball for as long as he could remember. His childhood friend since 2nd grade always told the story of the time he hit the ball out of the park back in Roxbury, Massachusetts at such a young age. That love of baseball never faded as he was an avid Red Sox fan all his life. He was well known for his BIG personality, making friends everywhere he went and always “had a guy” for anything and everything you could possibly need. He was known as the “Muffin Man” back in Framingham, Massachusetts as he would bring Dunkin Donuts muffins every morning to the toll workers on the turnpike while on his way to work. That love of Dunkin Donuts became his meeting spot every morning hanging with the guys both in Framingham and Delray Beach. He loved cracking jokes and making people laugh. He always gave and never asked for anything in return and was an amazing man.

A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be forthcoming to honor his memory. He will be truly missed by so many.

Arthur was a breast cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.aycock-hillcrest.com for the Israelson family.
