BOSTON – The National Weather Service extended its red flag warning until 7 p.m. tonight, April 12.

All of Massachusetts, except for the islands are included.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. Any fires that start may spread rapidly and become difficult to extinguish.

Winds will be 15 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts of up to 35 miles per hour.

Humidity will be low at 20 percent.

temperatures will be in the low 70s.

Very dry conditions and gusty winds will result in potentially critical fire weather conditions.
