NATICK – Natick Public Schools Superintendent Anna Nolin announced today, March 24, the hiring of Julie Skipper as the Director of Human Resources.

Skipper received her Bachelor’s in Corporate Communications and worked in Radio and Event Management after completing her degree at Framingham State University.

However, in 2007 she began her career in Human Resources working for the Kraft Group entities, including Gillette Stadium and the Kraft paper and packaging facilities.

After 5 years, she then became the Payroll Manager for the Town of Natick in 2012, where she managed all aspects of school and town payroll functions.

In 2017, she worked for the Medfield Public Schools in their Human Resources Department before returning to Natick in 2020 as the Assistant Director of Human Resources for the School Department.

Working closely with the Director of HR, she handles all aspects of the Human Resources department. Mrs. Skipper’s broad skills in both Human Resources and payroll, and her experience working in both school and town settings makes her uniquely qualified for this position.

“Mrs. Skipper possesses a warmth, energy and team-oriented leadership style which, coupled with her experience across municipal and school departments in various districts and towns allows her to provide stability, technological insight and inspiration to our team as we support our staff districtwide,” Nolin said. “She has strong ties to NPS and the Town of Natick and will continue to pull us forward in modernizing our hiring and support practices for our increasingly complex and diverse learning organization.”

Suzanne Kenny, Director of Human Resources said, “the combination of Julie’s experience and her interpersonal skills make her the ideal person to be the next Director of Human Resources. It’s unusual to get that breadth of experience in one person and on top of that she is an empathetic, supportive HR administrator who approaches every task, with a positive attitude and a smile. Julie will be a great asset to the Natick Public Schools.”

Currently, Skipper is pursuing her Professional Human Capital Leaders in Education Certification. She is excited to strengthen and grow both her own professional skills and that of the department in service to the Natick community.

Upon Suzanne Kenny’s retirement from this role, Skipper will begin in October 2023.
