MARLBOROUGH – Patricia Gately-Darrach, 62, of Marlborough, passed away peacefully at home with her dog Kate by her side on Friday, March 10, 2023.
Patricia grew up in Framingham.
She received her bachelor’s degree from North Adams State College and master’s degree from Framingham State College.
She owned and operated Safe & Secure Family Childcare for over 25 years, in Worcester and Marlborough.
She was actively involved in several parent-teacher organizations. Pat was an avid traveler with her friends. She loved dogs and was a devoted dog-mom to Gidget, Ireland, and Mitzi. She enjoyed holidays, craft fairs and gardening.
Patricia is survived by her husband Bradford Darrach; children Jason, Sean, Alex, Richard, and Grace Darrach; sister Kathleen Collentro of Worcester; brother David Gately and his wife Marianne of Milford; and multiple nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, and a grand-niece. She is also survived by her companion John.
She was predeceased by her parents, Laurence Philip and Jocelyn Ann (Coleman) Gately of Framingham, and brother Michael Francis Coleman Gately of Framingham.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Pat’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street (corner of Union Ave.) Framingham on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m. and gather on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 10 a.m. for a mass at St Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway Street, Marlborough.
Burial to follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Framingham.
