FRAMINGHAM – Any solicitors performing door-to-door canvassing in the City of Framingham are required to have a city-issued badge from the Framingham Police Department.
All solicitors can apply for a permit with Framingham Police.
After the completion of a police background check, a plastic City of Framingham photo ID will be issued.
Any individuals attempting to make door-to-door sales should be asked to show you their City ID.
If they fail to produce the card, contact Framingham Police at 508-872-1212.
Badges are not required for example, Girl Scouts selling cookies or an individual running for elected office in the City of Framingham.
