BOSTON – Framingham High senior Sam Burgess placed 23rd in the 2-mile race at the New Balance indoor track championships in Boston yesterday, March 10.

His time was 9:08.74 minutes.

Missouri’s Connor Burns won the race in a blistering 8:43.24 minutes, which placed him 7th for all-time in the 2-mile for high school students.

Belmont’s Ellie Shea won the girls’s 2-mile race in 9:49.82 minutes, which placed her 5th all time for high school students nationally.

Burgess will compete in the 5K race today, March 11 at 3:30 p.m.
