BOSTON – There is a forecast for a period of snow tonight which could bring accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, mainly over higher elevations in central and western, according to the National Weather Service in Boston/Norton.

The federal weather agency is also forecasting a significant winter storm may bring heavy snow accumulations Monday night into Tuesday night, mainly to the higher elevations in the Berkshires and Worcester Hills.

More rain than snow is expected near the coast.

Strong winds may accompany this storm Monday night into Tuesday, as well as areas of minor coastal flooding along east coastal MA during high tide.
