FRAMINGHAM – Metrowest Worker Center – Casa, an organization focused on addressing workers’ rights, has received a two-year grant from the Cummings Foundation of Woburn to hire a staff attorney to strengthen its work.

The Worker Center is planning to focus on industries where rights, such as minimum wages and overtime, are systematically ignored. An initial focus will include support of workers who fear coming nforward with claims of wage violations, sexual harassment and retaliation.

The Cummings Foundation grant is for a total of $100,000 to be distributed over two years.
