BOSTON – Spring and more sunshine is almost here, and its starts with Daylight Savings Time this month

On Sunday, March 12 MetroWest residents will spring the clock forward one hour.

It means we all lose an hour of sleep ,but gain an hour of sunshine for several months.

In the United States, daylight savings time lasts for a total of 34 weeks, running from early-to-mid March to the beginning of November in those states that observe it.

Senators Ed Markey & Marco Rubio would like to make Daylight Savings Time permanent.

And while your change your clocks on March 12, don’t forget to check the batteries in your smoke detector too.
