WESTBOROUGH – State Representative Kate Donaghue has been appointed to five committees by Speaker of the House, Ronald Mariano. 

“I am excited to announce my committee assignments! I am especially pleased to be appointed to the Education Committee, as well as to the Committee on Mental Health, Substance Use, and Recovery. Education and mental health are two issues important to the people of the district. I am looking forward to working with my colleagues in these critical areas,” announced Rep. Donaghue.

A first-year representative, Donaghue’s district includes a most of Westborough and Northborough, all of Southborough and a neighborhood in Framingham. 

Donaghue’s committee assignments include:

  • Joint Committee on Mental Health, Substance Use and Recovery
  • Joint Committee on Education
  • Joint Committee on Public Service
  • Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure
  • House Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs

Rep. Donaghue represents the newly-created district of the 19th Worcester, which includes parts of Westborough, Northborough, all Southborough, and a sub-Precinct in Framingham in District 3.
