FRAMINGHAM – Brayden Piazza scored Slalom points in all four races last week for the Framingham High alpine ski team.He scored a total of 60 points.
The first two races were held at Ski Ward and Brayden Piazza finished 33rd place and at our first race at Blue HIlls Brayden finished 31st and 39th.
“Brayden looked amazing at Ski Ward,” said his coach Roni Sue Bower. “It was the best I had seen him. Slalom really seems to be his niche.”
Andrew Parnell, Maddy Reider and Madi Jones also had great Slalom runs last week, said the Flyers alpine ski coach.
All three scoring points for themselves and for the team, said Coach Bower.

Parnell’s best finish was a 19th, scoring 30 points in the slalom race at Blue Hills.
Maddy Reider and Madi Jones continue to race well for the team scoring points.
Madi Jones finished 33rd earning 16 points in the first race at Ski Ward, but the the SL course got the better of her in the second race in the final hair-pin combination, said Bower
The two races at Blue HIlls were under difficult conditions and they were even treacherous with softer snow and deep ruts the second run, explained Coach Bower.
Although the majority of the team had difficulty finishing the course you could tell they it was because they were attacking the course, she said.

Maddie Reider continues to be outstanding in the courses, said Bower. She finished 29th scoring 20 points one race.
Madi Jones finished 35th in the second race scoring 14 points for the team.
“A great surprise of the night was when in the second race at Blue HIlls Freshman Katie Wang scored a point for the team. This was really awesome for her,” said Coach Bower.
Both the girls and boys teams have scored points at every race, said the Flyers alpine ski coach.
The Flyers competed tonight, February 13 at Blue Hills.
The final race of the season will be at Ski Ward on February 14, which will be the senior meet honoring Madi Jones and Laila McIndoo.
