FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Fire Department extinguished a fire on Millwood Circle early Sunday morning.

Framingham received an alarm for 30 Millwood Circle for a possible chimney fire at 3:50 a.m. today, February 5.

It was third fire for the department since 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Framingham Engine 5, Engine 7, Tower 1, Rescue 1 & Car 2 responded.

“On arrival, companies were met by the homeowner stating he noticed smoke coming from the walls around the fire place,” said Framingham Fire Chief Dutcher.

Car 2 investigated and scene declared a working fire, said the Framingham Fire Chief.

“Crews opened up the walls, both interior and exterior around the fire place and found fire had extended,” said Chief Dutcher. “Once opened up, crews quickly extinguished.”
