FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested a man in downtown Framingham last night, after he threatened a store clerk with a knife and a shovel.

Police were called to Auto bright on Hollis Street at 9:03 p.m. on January 31.

Police arrested Joel Figueroa, 29, with no known address.

He was charged with two counts of assault & battery with a dangerous weapon.

“The store clerk escorted another person outside of the store.  Figueroa became involved and confronted the clerk.  He is alleged to have pulled a knife out and then picked up a shovel threatening the clerk,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.
