FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High co-ed wrestling team finished in ninth place at the 42nd Annual Dan Balboni Holiday Classic wrestling tournament held at Framingham High yesterday, December 30.

More than 20 teams competed in the wrestling tournament named after the Flyers former head wrestling coach, who is in the Framingham High Hall of Fame and the national Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Framingham sophomore Dan Sullivan was the lone winner for the young Flyers.

Others who placed included:

  • Nicholas Fernandes, 4th place at 106 pounds
  • John Nogueira, 4th place at 185 pounds
  • Alexi Florian, 5th place at 285 pounds
