FRAMINGHAM – Assistant Speaker Katherine Clark has secured $400,000 for the MassBay Community College Center of Health Science, Early Childhood Education, and Human Services Project in Framingham as part of the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill.
The $1.7 trillion bill passed the Senate and the House of Representatives and now awaits President Joseph Biden’s signature.
The $400,000 will be used for the acquisition of science laboratory equipment for the new Center of Health Science, Early Childhood Education, and Human Services.
The Center was scheduled to open in late 2023, but now will open in January 2024. It will be located in Framingham at the corner of Franklin Street and Mt. Wayte Avenue.

New, state-of-the-art laboratory equipment is vital to training medical, early childhood, and human service professionals. It will be the very same equipment that students will find when working in the most modern, well-equipped facilities.
Targeted occupations are Substance Abuse Counselors, Central Processing Technologists, and Medical Sonographers. Early Childhood Educators, Emergency Medical Technicians, Nursing, Paramedics, Phlebotomists, Radiologic Technologists, and Surgical Technologists.
