FRAMINGHAM – Melissa Beth (Becker) Gallagher, 44, a lifelong resident of Framingham passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 1, 2022 after being hospitalized, with her family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of Shawn Patrick Gallagher with whom she shared the last 19 years of marriage, and the daughter of Robyn Ann Becker of Newton.

As well as her husband Shawn and mother Robyn, she is survived by her two children Shannon, and Silas both of Framingham, her Uncle’s George and Tim Becker and their families, brother-in-law Mark Gallagher his wife Adriane and their children Andrew and Amanda, sister-in-law Mary Gallagher and her daughter Sara, and sister-in-law Ann Gallagher all of Framingham. As well as many cousins, relatives, and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved Nana Barbara Ann Wilson and Grandpa Phil, her Uncle Michael Becker and her mother-in-law Mary Gallagher.

Melissa loved her husband and children with everything in her. She connected with the people in her life very deeply and showed that to everyone she met. She cared more about others than herself and spent a lot of her time taking care of her family, even when she was extremely ill.

Every time you saw Melissa she would greet you with a 20 oz. Pepsi in her hand, and a smile on her face. Music was a very big part of her life and she loved going to concerts, especially Radiohead. She said she “communicated in song.”

She also loved Cape Cod, visiting the ocean and sitting in the waves with her children. Melissa enjoyed visiting her Nana’s house in Sandwich as often as she could.

UPDATED: A celebration of her life will take place from on Wednesday, December 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 318 Union Avenue, Framingham, MA 01702.

A private burial to take place at a later time.
