FRAMINGHAM – A driver was cited after striking a woman walking in the crosswalk last night in Framingham, said Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.

The incident happened at 9:46 p.m. at 7 Lawrence Street in Framingham.

Framingham Fire Engine 5 and Ambulance 1 responded to a woman, 22, struck by a vehicle, said Framingham Assistant Fire Chief John Schultz.

The pedestrian was in the crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle turning on to Lawrence Street, said Lt. Mickens.

Woman had “pain in right leg,” said Assistant Chief Schultz.

“E5 assisted A1 with packaging and loading of patient,” and she was transported to the Framingham Union Hospital.

The driver remained on scene and was “cited for crosswalk violation,” said Lt. Mickens.
