FRAMINGHAM – Steven C. Serway, 71, a resident of Framingham died on Friday November 25, 2022.

Born in Rome, New York, he was the son of the late John & Marilyn (Heintz) Serway, and the husband of Ellen N. (Brett) Serway who survives him.

Raised and educated in Rome, NY, Steven served his country proudly in the US Navy.

His family owned Serway Bros. Custom Kitchen Cabinets, and as a result Steven was an extremely skilled carpenter. He was innovative in his process and his skills trickled over into other trades like electrical and plumbing.

In his later years, Steven liked to tinker, probably from working with his hands his entire life.  He enjoyed flea markets and finding things like clocks and antique toys to make like new again.

Besides his wife Ellen, Steven is survived by his siblings, Cynthia of CA, Kirk of NY, Laura of NY, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in the NY state area. He was predeceased by his sister, Eileen.

Family and friends will honor and remember Steven’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street in Framingham on Saturday, December 10 from 1-3 p.m.

Interment will take place privately.
