FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham had a celebration today as Mayor Charlie Sisitsky signed an agreement with CSX to purchase about 3 miles of land for the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail.

The agreement will not be finalized for about 180 days said the Mayor.

After the purchase & sales agreement is finalized, the City can then design and construction the leg of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail.

The cost of the purchase is roughly $5 million
