FRAMINGHAM – On Monday afternoon, November 28, a woman from Cambridge struck a Stop & Shop employee who was collecting carts in the parking lot in Framingham.

The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Old Conn Path Stop & Shop lot.

The Stop & Shop employee, who is a Framingham resident, age 31, was injured and transported to MetroWest Medical center in Framingham by Brewster Ambulance, according to the police report.

The employee told the Framingham Police Officer “while collecting shopping carts from the parking lot area, he felt something hit him from behind, and then he fell to his hands and knees,” according to the Police report.

The woman, 42, was driving a Black Kia Rio, according to the report.

The police officer wrote in his report, he observed that “vehicle was parked in front of approximately 7 shopping carriages, on the other side of the carriages sitting on the ground, still in the roadway, was the pedestrian that was struck” by V1.” by the vehicle.

The Cambridge woman told Police “she was pulling in to the parking lot of Stop and Shop and felt her car hit something, and when she looked up, she saw a male fall forward and land on his hands and knees.”

The Police Officer, wrote in his report, “It “it should be known while I was speaking with the operator of V1, I could barely see when I was facing in the direction of travel due to the strength of the solar glare.”
