1 Happy Thanksgiving! The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621 over a 3-day harvest festival. Turkey was not on the menu. This is the 401st anniversary of that first Thanksgiving. President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving a national holiday in 1863.

2. The 27th Annual Turkey Classic 5K road race takes places at 8 a.m. today.

The race starts and ends at the Memorial Building. More than 1,000 runners and walkers are expected.

Expect delays on Union Avenue and Route 126 and several other Framingham roads this morning, due to the race.

3. The 34th Annual Curtis Family Thanksgiving will not hold a sit down meal again this year, instead there will be deliveries and pick-up only.

Meals can be picked up at 46 Park Street between noon and 2p.m.

More than 1,300 meals are expected to be delivered today by volunteers to seniors and others in Framingham, Ashland, & Natick, said Diane Lynch

4. The 118th meeting between Natick and Framingham High football takes place today at 10 a.m. at Natick High. Tickets are available online only.

5. There is no curbside trash, recycling, or lead collection today. City Hall is closed today and will not re-open until Monday.
