FRAMINGHAM – On November 13, 2022, while surrounded by family, Maria Sidoli passed away peacefully at home at 83 years of age. 

Maria was born on November 9, 1939, in the small town of Vernasca Italy, Province of Piacenza.

She was the loving wife to Guy Sidoli, daughter to Luigi and Amabile (Carini) Franzini.

Besides her loving husband Guy, Maria is survived by her three children: AnnMarie Hardy and her husband Brian of Bridgewater, Christine Hobby and her husband John of Franklin and Michael Sidoli of Franklin. Maria was an adoring wife and Grammy to her grandchildren Anthony, Stephanie, and Maggie as well as her great granddaughter Blakely.

Maria is also survived by her sister Elda Pessini, brother Victor Franzini and his wife Jean, and sister-in-law Lorraine Franzini.  She is predeceased by her brother Renzo Franzini and brother-in-law Robert Pessini.

Maria emigrated from Italy to the United States with her family in 1953, she was 13 years old. Several years later, in the summer of 1962, she returned to Italy with her mother to see relatives while on vacation.  It was then she met the love of her life, Guy Sidoli.  Maria returned to the United States that summer and in April of 1964, Guy came the U.S. to be with her.  They were married on June 6, 1964.

Maria was hardworking, loyal and a dedicated employee. She retired from the Bethany Health Care Center where she was loved by all. 

Maria was a selfless person, often neglecting the needs of herself for the needs and well being of her family.

Maria loved assisting her husband in carrying on Italian traditions by making homemade cappelletti, pasta, wine, and canning sauce from their amazing garden tomatoes.

Family was the most important thing to her, and she was the happiest being around her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter.  She will always be remembered as a kind, faithful, and humble person.  She will be deeply missed by her family.

Relatives and friends are welcome to offer condolences to the family on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the St. Tarcisius Church, Waverly Street (Rt 135) Framingham, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m.

The burial will take place at St. Tarcisius Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to St. Tarcisius Church 562 Waverly Street, Framingham MA 01702.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Norton Funeral Home, Framingham.
