ASHLAND – On Thursday, November 3rd, crews will begin the milling and paving portion of the project on Front and Main Streets in Ashland.

They will begin the work on Front Street.

Crews will close Front Street at Fountain Street and have detours set up to go around Fountain Street to Union Street back to Main Street. Once crews pass Concord Street, they will close off the same side of Front Street that they are working on, and traffic will be routed up Concord Street to Raymond Marchetti.

Crews are preparing to start work under the railroad tracks. This work will now start the last week of November. More detail on how this will affect traffic and access is coming.

Crews will mill this entire area within a week and a half and then take a few days to fully pave.

Paving will occur the week of November 14th.

Crews continue sidewalk and curbing work on Main Street. This work includes removing existing curbing, installing new curbing, and building new sidewalks including brick pavers. Crews are working along Main Street from Town Hall toward the railroad tracks. They hope to finish this work in the next two weeks (weather pending).
