FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police responded to the Lord Chesterfield apartments at 4 a.m. on Saturday, October 22.

An individual was attempting to “break into a value adder machine in the lobby of the building,” said Framingham Deputy Police Chief Victor Pereira.

A value adder machine, adds value to SmartCards with inserted cash, and it dispenses SmartCards which can be purchased for cash.

“There was visible damage to the right side of the machine,” said the Deputy Police Chief.

“It appears that he was not able to successfully remove any money from the machine before the officers arrived,” said Deputy Police Chief Pereira.

Officers will be checking surveillance, said the Deputy Police Chief.

The Lord Chesterfield apartments are located at 10 Greenview Street in Framingham.
