NATICK – Nancy P. (Parsons) Swan, 90, of Natick died peacefully on October 18, 2022. 

Born on November 3, 1931, in Somerville, Nancy was the daughter of Dorothy (Goodwin) and Allan Bates Parsons,Sr.

Nancy graduated from Belmont High School, Class of 1949.

After graduation she married Thomas Swan and moved to Natick, shortly thereafter. Together, Nancy and Tom made their home in Natick where they raised their three beloved children.

In Nancy’s working years, she was a cafeteria worker at the Natick High School while her own children were in high school.

Later in her career, Nancy worked for Leonard Morse Hospital for several years before becoming a volunteer.

She served the hospital for over 30 years and earned several awards for her passionate dedication.

Nancy loved spending summer days in Gloucester at Good Harbor Beach.  She also frequented Gloucester Harbor where her parents maintained a home on the water. Nancy was an avid Red Sox fan, attending many games and following her favorite players in the news and on television. Nancy also enjoyed bowling, playing many strings together in friendly competition with her beloved friends and family over the years.

Having lived in Natick for over 60 years, later in her life, Nancy moved to Sherwood Village where she enjoyed playing games in the evening with “the ladies.”

Nancy’s greatest love of all was spending time in the company of her family and friends. She was so proud of her three children, seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Her family will miss her presence dearly, but she will live on in their hearts and minds forever.

Nancy was the devoted mother of Thomas M. Swan Jr. and his wife Alyce, of Lyman, ME; David Swan and his wife Karen, of Walpole; Pamela J. Brown and her husband Robert, of Medway.  Sister of the late Allan Bates Parsons Jr., Roland Parsons, and Muriel Evans; Daughter of the late Dorothy (Goodwin) and Allan Bates Parsons Sr.  She is also survived by 7 grandchildren (Thomas Robert, Will, ‘Becca, Krissy, Ellie, Andrew and Mac), 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  

Visiting Hours will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street in Natick, on Saturday November 5 from 9:30 am – 11:30 a.m.

Followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 am. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Interment to follow at Dell Park Cemetery, Natick.
