FRAMINGHAM – Democratic Lt. Governor candidate Kim Driscoll, the Mayor of Salem, was at a private fundraiser at the home of City Council Chair Phil Ottaviani Jr. and his wife School Committee member Valerie Ottaviani on Tuesday night, October 18.

Mayor Charlie Sisitsky also attended the fundraiser.

Mayor Driscoll and Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey are looking to be elected Lt Governor and Governor of the Commonwealth in November. If elected, it would be the first time that the top two positions in the Commonwealth are held by a woman.

City Councilors George King Jr., Janet Leombruno, and Noval Alexander also attended the fundraiser.

This was the second time the Ottaviani family has hosted a fundraiser for Driscoll.

Senate President Karen Spilka, Rep. Jack Patrick Lewis, and 6th Middlesex District state representative elect Priscila Sousa were also at the private event.

Besides District 6 School Committee member Valerie Ottaviani, District 1 School Committee member Beverly Hugo, and District 3 School Committee member Jennifer Moshe also attended the event.

On November 8, voters will decide between the Healey-Driscoll Democratic ticket and the Diehl-Allen, the Republican nominees.

Current Gov. Charlie Baker and Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito chose not to seek re-election in November.
