FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham has promoted its Chief Environmental Health Officer to become the new Assistant Health Director.

Robin Williams took over the position today, October 17.

The position has been vacant since Sam Wong resigned at the end of 2020, when former Assistant Health Director Alex DePalo became interim Health Director, and eventually the Health Director, before resigning earlier this month.

Williams has been with the City of Framingham for 4.5 years, hired in spring of 2018 by the former Spicer administration.

Prior t that she was a Food Safety Consultant for 2 decades.

The Marlborough resident has served on the Marlborough Board of Health, including a stint as Chair.

The City of Framingham is still advertising for a Health Director and advertising for a Chief Public Health Nurse, as long-time nurse Kitty Mahoney retired earlier this year.
