FRAMINGHAM – Shayne M. LaFrance, 43, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Born in Framingham, he was the son of Sandra L. Rego & her husband Manuel of Conway, SC, and the late Maynard LaFrance.

Since he was a young boy, Shayne loved tinkering around with anything he could get his hands on. He was exceptionally good at taking things apart; he always wanted to see how things worked. Toys, electronics, bikes, cars, he always got them apart, but putting them back together not so much. He loved being outdoors, at the beach or camping in the woods. Shayne would be out for days fishing and enjoying nature. His childhood summers were spent camping all throughout New England. He played little league baseball for years and was the catcher for numerous teams. He was a Boston Red Sox and NE Patriots sports fan.

Shayne worked in food service for a number of years and loved to cook, and in recent years; in addition to his family, he found a second family in the form of friendship with the Ottaviani Family of Framingham. (Philip, Valerie and Julia).

He had a contagious boisterous laugh and was always playing the part of family comedian. He would always greet you with a big smile, warm hug and probably a joke or funny story. He will be missed by so many, he had so much more ahead of him.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his children, Felicia A., Juliana, Mariah R., and Shayne Jr. all of Davison, MI, his sister, Ellie Bento & her husband Daniel of Stoughton, his niece Olivia Bento, several aunts, cousins, and the mother of his children, Linda Tufford.

Family and friends will honor and remember Shayne’s life privately.

Arrangements by the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home of Framingham.
